Monster: disrupt!
What would a child do amidst the utterance of neglect?
Am I wanted?
Are you worthy of such a title, to be called my child?
Where does hatred come from in a baby's tragedy?
How does one identify hate and neglect to a mother's name? Can it infect tedious chores by saying words that would align the young prospect to a merciless battle with life? can a child know his mother's love without touching her careless body? will the child grow to be merciless himself? all of which was depicted in a single episode of Monster, the truth was indeed appalling, yet the child kept looking for any significance the other had for him. As we see Yohan mercilessly deafening his heart to his lost love. The child was indeed a lost soul; waiting to be toiled around. that only shows the evil character the mangaka tried to alert and the studio did his fairness to make it come alive.
--in a single shot we saw the devious nature of tragedy, how does a single mind play with reality to make you a slave to your inner turmoil. how the devil whispers in your ears awaiting the second you blink to possess your thoughts and sicken your heart. Thus is his way with a man! That is his way with life.
Sometimes we care less about moments not until we lose the sweetness of their marrow. that indeed is lifeless and cold. So man must adhere to his senses? surrender to the sweetness and carry on with life. let not a single thought provoke you to act, only watch and analyse each passing moment with diligent valour and contentment of you witnessing such thoughts glimmer away!
...we witness the reborn of the magnificent Steiner into a human, a merciful one indeed.
you can not lie away your emotions as you do with facts, as the first holds more merit than the latter, so we witnessed the humanistic dissonance of a lost individual, unknowingly navigating the turmoil of emotions battling out to emerge, subdue and reside; simultaneously. that where the writer did "a mike drop", to leave you alone navigating the harshness of life through a mere child's eyes. How cruel the world is to a young heart, how unpleasant it must be to lead a life full of anguish or so with Yohan. DID he ever feel love, I sure have none for him after such instances.
How unworthy you must feel when the closest person to your heart abandons you, maybe that is the ultimate question Yohan is trying to invoke. upon life and death, we are merely equal upon the act, as with the process we may even vary in ways that disrupt the soul and defect the mind. to look within the monster, that must be a sight to bear.
beyond love what does life hold of us?
